Capital struggling to build new homes?

Posted by Hamish on 25 May 2016

The latest headline in the medias ongoing affinity with property. We at AD Architecture are heavily involved in a number of significant housing developments in the wider Wellington region including design partnerships with FerNZ development at Liddle Estate, Ferndale Trust development in Waikanae and significant design contributions in ‘The Banks’ and ‘Aotea’ in Porirua a little closer to the city. It is true the capital is struggling to build new homes, it’s pretty full really with the development of green field development being drip fed to consumers we are becoming very busy with infill housing projects and reinvigorating existing homes bringing them up-to and beyond modern living standards.

For us the other upside is the outskirts are offering great sections with plenty of land available. In the outer regions tradesmen are ready to work closer to their own homes rather than commute and once the motorways, communications infrastructure and public transport upgrades near completion in the coming three years these outer areas of the region are going to be the places to live.

Anyone looking to build new or upgrade their existing home contact us and we can put you in touch with the right people and work with you on creating your own little piece of paradise.
