DBH Fire seminar - Jon attend this organised DoBH event on 27th June in Wellington on changes to the "C" (Fire) documents in the NZ Building Code. This part of the NZBC has been rewritten to make it easier to use and therefore the DoBH are encouraging Architectural Designers to have a go at writing their own fire reports for buildings that fall into the Accepatble Solutions catagory.
Sustainable Housing Summit – Peter attended the inaugural NZ Green Building Council Summit in Auckland on June 27 th and 3 sessions of in depth Master Classes the following day.
Internationally and nationally acclaimed presenters discussed the principals of sustainable housing design covering a diverse range of topics such as urban design context, passive house design, ventilation, material selection, thermal efficiency, and integrated solar panels.
