Gosh where's the Year Gone!

Posted by Admin on 27 September 2010

Peter and I looked at each other a few days ago and wondered out loud "where has the year gone?". One things for sure it has been a far more stable business year than most of us experienced in 2009.

Where to from here and what have we been up to? Well everyone at AD Architecture has been busy getting productive work done for the last ten months and we've been involved in some very good projects.

Monteiths bar and restaurant is now finished, is in full swing and has quickly become one of "the places" to be on the coast.

Chris Beggs of Northface Construction has started his energy efficient Showhome in Waikanae, which we are very proud to be involved with and look forward watching the progress over the next six months.

2010 has been another great year for awards for AD Architecture with a very good showing at the Wellington Masterbuilders awards a few months ago where the Peter Davis designed, David Reid built Ferndale Showhome took out the Showhome of the year award and the Sustainable home of the year award. Peter also won the 2010 ADNZ regional Commercial award for Monteiths and Jon won the 2010 ADNZ regional Additions and Alterations award.

Peter, Jon, Denise and Anke are heading off to the 2010 ADNZ annual conference in a few weeks which is being held in Nelson. This will be a great opportunity to meet up again with old industry friends and to be inspired by a busy program of speakers, presentations and other relative activities around the Nelson area.

Tip of the month: for those of you considering designing a new house or alteration visit  for a free on-line plan design tool which is fantastically easy to use and works in 3D for visualisation
