129 Rimu Road

Kapiti Coast District Council is currently planning to transform Paraparaumu to be the heart of the district and the primary focus for retail, commercial, cultural and civic activity. The site situated on what will be effectively “Main Street” in the future was a perfect location for the development of a contemporary styled office building.

The land on the northern boundary features an open stormwater culvert and a large open field. The road is on the eastern side therefore the northern and eastern aspects of the building are prominent and were required to have significant architectural merit.

Large windows bring plenty of natural light into the office environment, enabling the occupants to enjoy the outlook and, along with the Euroline cladding provide strong exterior façade features.

The organisation that was leasing the upper level is a computer based company that employs mainly younger people therefore they required open plan work areas for hot desking, communication and socialising. The environment had to be relaxing, vibrant, flexible and totally up to the specification required for a state of the art, modern, computer based office.

Access to and around the building was also very important to all prospective tenants and the owner as this would enable flexibility on many levels for now and the future.
